Where Passion and Potential Meet
Since its organization, Accel Academy has emerged as a powerful force in Philadelphia’s surrounding communities. Accel has campuses in Cheltenham, Paoli/Main Line, North Wales, and Philadelphia.
1988
1993
1995
Accel Academy opened its first school in Melrose Park, PA. Accel Academy first started out as an SAT preparation center. Then, Accel expanded its instruction to high school subjects, then junior high subjects, then ESL instruction, and finally elementary school programs.
Accel Academy became so prosperous that the school relocated. Instead of operating out of the lower level of an office building, Accel expanded to a two story office building.
The Academy gained regional fame in 1995 when The Philadelphia Inquirer featured Accel Academy as its lead story in the “Neighbors” section of the newspaper, commending the Academy for its high standards of excellence in instruction and education.
1996
Accel was federally approved to accept overseas students in its English Language Program.
2003
Accel Academy’s English Language Program for overseas students received the necessary re-certification and is a participant in the SEVIS System.
2010
Accel Academy opened its prosperous North Wales campus, attracting a large Chinese community.
Accel Academy launched a special 12-day SAT Winter Boot Camp. In the comfort of a hotel, students participate in an intensive SAT course to prepare for the January SAT I test.

Accel Academy launched on-line real time help and on-line video lectures to use as previews, reviews, or make-ups of classes.
2015
In the fall, Accel began using the curriculum its teachers developed for the New SAT to be administered in March 2016.
2017
Accel held its 14th annual scholarship awards ceremony.
Accel began using the online learning platform, Moodle. Students can view lectures, take tests, do and check homework, and listen to explanations to all homework and test problems online.

Accel Academy opened its Paoli campus.
